Greetings everyone!

As a little bit of follow up to my Mid-Week Message this past Wednesday... (if you didn't listen to that Mid-Week Message, click this link and listen now.)

I heard a very startling statistic on a webinar that Margaret and I watched this past Thursday evening.

According to Barna Research, as reported on the webinar by a pastor in Texas, of the professing Christians in the 18 to 23 age bracket (college age, essentially) only one half of one percent have a Biblical worldview!

Did you catch that?!! Only 1/2 of 1% of professing college age Christians in the USA have a Biblical worldview! In other words, 99.5% of Christians in the USA age 18-23 are not knowledgeable of the Bible's teachings in very basic, foundational Christian beliefs, or they refuse those beliefs and yet still claim to be Christian.

That reveals a complete redefining of what it means to be a Christian by those who think this way. That, in turn, means a complete redefinition of what the Gospel is!

The Apostle Paul had some strong words for those sorts of people. He writes in Galatians 1:8-9,

"8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. 9 As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed."

How are we at TSRC doing in reaching our youth, before they get to college age, with the true Biblical Gospel? Carol does a great job with our younger children, but what about those in High School, and even in Middle School? What about the youth of the broader community of greater Winter Haven?

We should pray, and seek God's leading about what we could/should do in this area of "Bringing Biblical Truth To The World", which is our Vision.

Please let me know what you think about this! Reply to this email, give me a call, or chat with me soon.

Lord, help us, and to You be the glory!
