Blue Christmas Service

Not everyone experiences Christmas with joy and joviality. For those who have experienced loss, or are facing a questionable future with numerous less-than-ideal scenarios, this season can be more of feeling alone and scared than of feeling joy.
A Blue Christmas Service is just for someone experiencing these emotions. One website defined "feeling blue" as "...an idiom that describes the experience of sadness or melancholy. It is a temporary and normal response to a loss or disappointment. It usually has a cause, such as a breakup, a job loss, or a death."
Wednesday, December 18 at 6:00 p.m. we will offer to the greater Winter Haven community at large a service specifically designed to minister to those who tend to find this Christmas Season a lot less joyful than most of us.
If that describes you, even a little, then this service is for you. Come join us! AND, if you know someone who experiences this season like that, then this is an opportunity for you to help them by bringing them to this service.

The Solid Rock Church is receiving applications for the position of our Music Director. The successful candidate must be musically competent in a wide range of styles, including Christian classics (hymns) as well as contemporary Christian music. Piano skills preferred. 15/hours per week.
